I had a disappointing stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Milwaukee Downtown. While the location is excellent for accessing various attractions, several aspects of the experience fell short, including cleanliness and the functionality of room amenities. The inconsistent service and issues with parking added to my frustration.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was not thoroughly cleaned, as I found a sock left under the desk, and the TV was inoperable upon arrival. Additionally, one of the towels was unreasonably small, highlighting a lack of attention to detail.
Service
5.0
The front desk staff were friendly but lacked efficiency when addressing our needs. For instance, my sister had no heat in her room, and the manager could only offer a quilt as a solution, which was not appropriate given her circumstances.
Location
5.0
The hotel's downtown location is convenient for accessing events and restaurants, making it a prime spot for visitors like me. However, parking in the attached garage is frustrating, as it operates on a per-entry basis, racking up costs quickly.
Dining
5.0
Unfortunately, there was no breakfast service available, which is typically a highlight at Hampton Inns. This was a letdown, especially since other nearby eateries were operating.
Facilities
5.0
The overall condition of the facilities was lacking. The elevators were out of service, and the amenities felt worn and poorly maintained. The presence of broken items didn't enhance the experience at all.

6.4/10

My stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Milwaukee Downtown was quite mixed. While I appreciated the fast and friendly check-in by staff like Britani and Tashianna, I was disappointed by the state of the room I first received. The location downtown was fantastic for exploring, though I encountered issues with maintenance that left me feeling frustrated at times.

Rooms
5.0
Initially, the room was in poor condition, with maintenance issues that required multiple room changes. The final room was more spacious, though the layout was awkward, making it difficult to use the desk comfortably.
Service
5.0
The front desk staff members were friendly and offered assistance when issues arose. However, I felt that the response time was lacking at times, especially when it came to addressing the state of my room.
Location
8.0
This hotel is centrally located, making it easy to walk to nearby attractions. I enjoyed being close to restaurants and events, which enhanced my experience in Milwaukee.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was a nice perk and included a decent range of options. Although I didn't try any other dining options, I appreciated the convenience of having food close by.
Facilities
5.0
The valet service was efficient, which made parking hassle-free. However, some amenities, like the pool, were not available during my stay, which was disappointing.

7.4/10

I had a mix of experiences during my stay at the hotel. The location was truly convenient, allowing me to explore various nearby attractions easily. However, I faced some issues with the room's upkeep, including a rattly air conditioner and signs of wear. The breakfast was definitely a highlight, offering plenty of options day to day, but the overall condition of the room left me wanting a bit more.

Rooms
5.0
The room showed signs of wear, such as peeling wallpaper and a broken bathroom door handle. It also lacked some conveniences like towel racks, which I found disappointing. On a positive note, the beds were comfy and the water pressure was good, though the air conditioning was ineffective.
Service
6.0
I encountered mixed service experiences. While some staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially regarding tying my two reservations together, there were moments when responses were unhelpful. The breakfast staff were attentive, which enhanced my dining experience.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was fantastic. I was within walking distance of bars, shops, and attractions, which made it easy to explore. Despite some troubles with parking costs, I felt safe and enjoyed my time in downtown Milwaukee.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast options were varied and replenished daily, making it a strong point of my visit. I appreciated having different choices each morning, but I would've liked even more fresh fruit available.
Facilities
5.0
I spent some time at the pool, which was freezing for me, but the hot tub was a nice touch. There were also good grocery and laundry services offered, which added convenience to my stay, but I did notice that the hallways and common areas felt worn down.

5.6/10

My stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Milwaukee Downtown was quite the mixed bag. The hotel's location was fantastic, making it easy for me to explore nearby attractions. However, there were quite a few issues that detracted from my overall experience, including a lack of proper service and cleanliness that left much to be desired.

Rooms
5.0
The room itself was clean but lacked basic amenities like extra towels, and I found a child's sippy cup hiding under the bed, which made me question the thoroughness of housekeeping.
Service
5.0
The customer service was disappointing; I needed extra towels and a wine opener during my stay, but the staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful.
Location
5.0
The location was a major highlight for me, as it was just a block away from the Riverside Theater and close to the Riverwalk, allowing for easy access to dining options and local attractions.
Dining
5.0
Unfortunately, the breakfast selections were lacking. I hoped for a better variety given my past experiences at other Hampton Inns, but I didn't find much available.
Facilities
5.0
The parking situation was confusing at first, especially since I was expecting valet service which wasn't available. Navigating the parking structure was a hassle.

I had a pleasant stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Milwaukee Downtown. The hotel was clean and modern, with a great location for exploring the city. I enjoyed the breakfast and the friendly staff, though I did encounter some delays with valet parking when I was leaving.

Rooms
8.0
I stayed in a king suite with two TVs, a fridge, and a microwave, which added a nice touch of convenience. The beds were comfortable, though the layout of the two-bed rooms felt a bit tight.
Service
9.0
The service from the front desk and valet staff was genuinely warm. They were eager to assist and went out of their way to make my kids happy with hot chocolate.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location in downtown Milwaukee was ideal. It was a short walk to various attractions like the Public Market and museums.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast offered a decent variety, with options that changed daily. The breakfast staff was attentive and kept things replenished, which improved the morning experience.
Facilities
7.0
Although the lobby was under construction, it didn't detract from my stay given that it wasn't loud. The facilities included a small pool that occasionally felt crowded, especially for families.
